Blockchain is a sequential data structure that, in case of modification of a previous block of the chain, requires the modification of all subsequent blocks. Therefore, despite the claimed saving properties, it is very often inefficient compared to a relational database for many entrepreneurial use cases. Furthermore, the blockchain requires a native digital asset to provide economic incentives for its maintainers: without the seigniorage revenues associated with its native asset, a blockchain system would need to elect its maintainers, thus falling back into a centralized paradigm and, therefore, completely losing relevance.

Andrea Berruto deals with corporate law, banking law and financial law, with particular attention to the management of collective portfolios, investment services and activities, derivatives and cryptocurrency law.
He has acquired significant work experience in London and Milan, both in international law firms and boutiques, as well as in-house.
In addition to having developed a solid network in the Crypto community and actively participating in various trade associations, he has gained considerable experience in the FinTech sector dealing with feasibility studies of innovative Crypto projects.
